Echo in Ramadi: The Firsthand Story of US Marines in Iraq’s Deadliest City

Echo in Ramadi: The Firsthand Story of US Marines in Iraq’s Deadliest City by Scott A. Huesing

Echo In Ramadi details the hell on earth faced by Echo Company, Second Battalion, Fourth Marine Regiment during 2006.  This book is very dear to me as this was my brother’s (Cpl Dustin J Libby) final tour.  It is understandably gut-wrenching for me as I am able to see a side of my brother’s life that I was not privy to.  But I was also given a rare opportunity to see thru the eyes of his brothers in arms and share in the pain of their loss, the terror of modern warfare, and the love and respect the Marines of 2/4 Echo have for each other.  I can honestly say I probably looked like a fool listening to this book again during my daily commute either laughing at the audacity of their situation or trying not to weep when getting to “meet” some of my fellow Gold Star families thru Scott’s eyes.
